Privacy
Fetwell is case management for educational psychologists. It runs in your browser and keeps your work on your own computer. This page says what this website (fetwell.com) does and does not do.
Your case files
Fetwell reads and writes the case folders you choose on your computer. They are never sent to fetwell.com. Fetwell has no database of cases, no accounts and no analytics.
What fetwell.com does
It sends your browser the Fetwell program files. It also does a few small jobs that a web page cannot do on its own, and keeps nothing from any of them:
- Public school pages. When you ask Fetwell to look up a school (its Ofsted report, its SENCO, its SEND information report), your browser asks fetwell.com/relay for that public page, and the relay passes the page back. Only the page's web address is sent, never a child's name or anything from a case.
- Your calendar. Browsers do not let a web page read another site, so Fetwell reads your calendar's secret address (the private iCal link you paste in Set up › Calendar) through fetwell.com/ical. Your calendar passes straight through to your computer, read only. fetwell.com keeps no copy of it, no record of its contents and no copy of the address. Your computer keeps the last copy so Fetwell works offline. Anyone who has the secret address can read the calendar, so keep it private; you can reset it in your calendar's settings, and Remove in Fetwell forgets it.
- Plans. Fetwell Pro is free to try for 15 days; after that, Fetwell Free looks after up to 2 open cases. If you buy Fetwell Pro, Stripe takes the payment on its own page; Fetwell never sees your card. Stripe then sends you back to Fetwell with a receipt number, and fetwell.com/licence asks Stripe whether it was paid and gives your computer a signed licence. Every few days Fetwell sends that licence back to check that the plan is still active. Stripe keeps the payment record, with your name and email, as the payment provider; fetwell.com keeps nothing.
- Google sign-in (if offered). When you connect Google Calendar, Google gives your browser a one-time code. fetwell.com/google-token turns that code (and later, your renewal pass) into a pass to read your calendar, because that step needs Fetwell's secret key. The pass is handed straight back to your browser. Your calendar is then read by your browser directly from Google and never passes through fetwell.com.
Google user data (only if you sign in with Google)
Fetwell asks Google for read-only access to your calendar events (calendar.events.readonly). It uses them only to show your sessions and free time on your own Fetwell board, on your computer. It does not store them anywhere else, share them, sell them, use them for advertising or use them to train AI. Fetwell's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can sign out in Fetwell (Set up › Calendar) and remove Fetwell's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Microsoft sign-in
If you connect a Microsoft calendar, your browser signs in with Microsoft and reads your calendar directly from Microsoft. Nothing passes through fetwell.com.
Hosting
fetwell.com is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles the connection to the site as any web host does.
